Walking Trails

Marshall Trail is complete! 

Tom Williams Builders, LLC. has recently completed the stairways and overlook decks at the Marshall Park Trail extension .

The trail extends from Marshall Park along Brooks Creek, traveling through the woodland ending at Clay Street. As you walk the trail you will notice there are stairs for small inclines, decks and overlooks along Brooks Creek. This trail is considered a “natural” walking trail, so be aware that there is no paved areas along the pathway.

This trail was made possible through a grant awarded from the Fremont Area Community Foundation along with funds from the Newaygo Area Recreational Authority (NCRA).

The walking trail is open to the entire public during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. It is so quiet and peaceful that you will forget you are in the middle of the city! Please keep the trail natural. If you see anyone vandalizing the trail please call City Hall. (652.1657) Thanks!
